The High Holidays are a soulful and rejuvenating time; a season during which we get that "Jewish recharge" for the New Year.

At Chabad of Burbank, we’ve always prided ourselves on offering uplifting and inspiring services that are open to all. This year, we’ve been presented with a unique set of challenges, but challenges and obstacles only strengthen our resolve.

Knowing how important these days are – and how this year we will all need that connection perhaps more so than any other – our approach is not merely “how do we get by”, but “how do we make this the most special and memorable High Holidays of our lifetime”.

Our goal is to keep everyone safe and follow the LA County health guidelines.

To this end, Chabad will be offering in-person outdoor High Holiday Services in Burbank. Held under a canopy for shade, these will be EARLIER services consisting of prayers, the Torah reading, the sounding of the Shofar on the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah, and the recital of Yizkor on Yom Kippur.

The following pointers are critical with regard to these services:

We will be adhering to all LA County health guidelines for maximum safety and precaution. This includes socially-distant seating and wearing of masks.

Due to social distance seating, there are strict limits to our attendance capacity at each service.

In keeping with Chabad’s welcoming policy, we’ve always provided ample seating for reserved and walk-in participants alike. Unfortunately, given the circumstances this year, all attendance must be by RESERVATION ONLY, as this is the only way we can follow the guidelines and keep each service within the person limit. We sincerely apologize but we must insist that only those with prior reservations attend. Once a service is at capacity, we will close reservations for that service.
